## Description

DVLA takes online and telephone payments for a number of services including: Electronic Vehicle Licencing \(Vehicle Excise Duty or "car tax"\) Personalised Registrations Driving Licence applications Penalty Payments On average DVLA process around 28 million payment transactions per year via the Payment Gateway Peak demand periods are March/April and September/October when vehicle relicensing is at its highest\.
