Framework RM3745 In September 2018, the Business Board was constituted as a non-statutory body to be the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) for the region. It is independent of the Combined Authority operating as a private-public sector partnership, focusing on the key business sectors to provide strategic leadership and drive growth in the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and wider Local Enterprise area. The staff and business of the LEP were transferred to the Combined Authority with effect from 1 April 2018. The accountable body status for the LEP also transferred to the Combined Authority, from Cambridgeshire County Council, on 1 April 2018. Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority is responsible for ensuring that its business is conducted in accordance with the law and proper standards and that public money is safeguarded and properly accounted for and used economically, efficiently and effectively.
