## Description

Thurrock Council currently has a Mitel IP telephony solution that supports the council sites and a number of third parties\. The solution consists of Thurrock owned onsite hardware, with a resilient backup instance in a remote data centre\. The platform is supported by a third party organisation\. The Mitel platform connects into a resilient SIP trunking service\. The diagram within the main ITT document provides a high level view of the setup\. This should be taken as guidance only as it does not show the contact centre and the backup datacentre is planned to move to Southend within the Thurrock Council WAN domain\. Connections into the resilient SIP service will then be from Civic offices Grays and Southend\. The intention is that these changes should be in place by the time that the new telephony support contract starts in December 2018\.
