Traffic Technology and Innovation - a Guide for Road Authorities

The Department for Transport want to develop a programme of activity to help build consensus and a community to support the deployment of technologies which improve the management of our roads. 1.2 This research project aimed to provide a simple and concise guide to what local authorities can achieve using existing arrangements. 1.3 An extension of this research project is required to develop the draft local authority guidance that has been produced from research findings into cohesive guidance. It requires close working with local authorities and industry, potentially using the Traffic Technology Forum as part of the stakeholder engagement. This will provide added benefit to local authorities.
