T0032 Red Claims

Description

Building on the work undertaken in work order 1-1142 - Green Claims, Highways England is looking to set up a contract for the provision of services to support them to further develop process, capability and information collection within our Network Claims teams. Namely this will be a focus on our Red Claims processes. Contracted provision of services for Green Claims has proved very successful in increasing recovery rates and implementing a standard management operating system and performance reporting. This work now needs to be extended into Red Claims. All claims made against us for damage caused due to our network are processed by Highways England. There is a fundamental requirement for fast and efficient collation and sharing of information to enable us to adequately manage these claims. There is currently a significant time delay in obtaining this information and processing the large number of claims we have.
