## Description

Maidstone Borough Council \(MBC\) is looking to purchase a generator with a power rating of between 80KVA to 100KVA to mitigate against the disruption caused by a power outage\. The depot at Bircholt Road is an important part of Maidstone Borough Council's service responsibility, therefore vital that a level of service is attainable during periods of local or national outages\. For that reason, we require a generator that will support the continuity of key services\. There are several aspects that need to be considered, including: \\r \\r • Powering the fuel pump used for the fleet of vehicles still running on diesel \\r • Charging the fleet of electric vehicles \\r • Charging the electric ground maintenance equipment \\r • Maintaining a level of power within the MBC depot office to run the systems needed to support the actions outlined above\. \\r \\r Key Dates & Timeline for Procurement\\r \\r Tender release: 20th June 2024\\r Expression of Interest Deadline: 12:00pm Thursday 11th July 2024\\r Deadline for submission of completed tenders: 12:00pm Thursday 18th July 2024\\r Evaluation: w/c 22nd July 2024\\r Appointment of contractor: w/c 29th July 2024\\r \\r Tenderers interested in this tender must register and express their interest through the Kent Business Portal \(registration is free\)\.
