RDE 289 - Sweeping Statements: Assessing the effectiveness of sandwave levelling as a mitigation measure for the impact of cable laying and external cable protection on benthic habitats and features

Description

Defra is investigating mitigation measures for the impact OW farms have on different benthic habitats, which could be used to inform potential Offshore Wind Environmental Standards. This project will feed into Defra's Offshore Wind Environmental Standards project currently underway. The contractor of this project will be expected to work with the Defra's Offshore Wind Environmental Standards project manager and their associated colleagues where necessary to ensure that any relevant aspects of this project aligns with the Offshore Wind Environmental Standards programme of work. The contract was awarded by DEFRA.
