S30026 Impacts of AVs on National Highways Operations

Description

Automated Vehicles will enable safer and more efficient journeys on the road network, however the introduction of AVs on to the SRN will also have impacts on National Highways Business as Usual Operations. The project will look at all aspects of how NH should interact with AVs on our network (for example: recovery procedures, AV fail safes impacts on SRN, ERA interaction, TOS interaction, traffic management requirements, other road user interaction, ROC interaction, Incident liability).
