Youth Engagement Approach

The project will involve arranging a series of youth engagement activities on behalf of the Commissioner across the region, building relationships with youth partners and organising a Youth Conference at the end of the contract period for the young people to summarise their main findings on police and crime issues to the Commissioner. Bidders are required to demonstrate how they will also seek to engage with young people who regularly get missed from decision-making processes, e.g. young offenders or vulnerable young people. Bidders should demonstrate how they will tailor bespoke ways of engaging with harder-to-reach young people; hopefully empowering them to ensure that they understand their rights in relation to Policing and Crime issues and to ensure that their voice is being heard.
