Infection Prevention Control Service 2024 - 2027

Infection prevention and control is based upon public health principles, with a strong prevention and educational emphasis, to promote the health and wellbeing of the public, as well as patients within health and social care services and wider community settings.\r \r The service will take a flexible approach to delivery of infection prevention and control in the community in line with best practice and other protocols agreed with commissioners. Specific services to be provided are listed in 3.2. There will be a strong emphasis on learning from RCA and audit to plan and implement infection control actions.\r
