Longrock Coastal Protection Scheme - Rock Armour Design

Project - Longrock Coastal Protection Scheme (Mounts Bay, Cornwall) Scheme Overview - The Longrock Coastal Protection Scheme aims to improve various environmental sites between Penzance and Marazion. Improvements include fish and eel passes, coastal defence structures, improving bird and fish habitat areas and the creation of an artificial dune. Specific Services required - Design of approximately 330m of rock armour sea defences including securing consents and licenses for the work, such as planning permission and MMO license. This project has been part-financed by grant funding from the European Regional Development Fund, and Wren, and will be subject to conditions imposed by the funding bodies. Suppliers will be expected to comply with the relevant requirements and any associated regulations such as procurement, publicity, and eligibility criteria.
