SCAH Survey Work

1. Production of a prioritised survey schedule 2. Production of survey specifications in accordance with the schedule produced in stage 1

The first stage has resulted in a report (70045694-30-REP-0008) that gave a recommended priority for surveys. This proposal is based on the surveys proposed in that report.

The specifications produced will define - The scope of the survey - The level of the survey: visual, measurement etc (recognising that intrusive surveys may not be appropriate at this point in the project within operational buildings) - Information that already exists - The format of the output from the surveys (to ensure that information is presented consistently) - The classification criteria for surveys that do not produce measured data (to define, good in need of upgrade etc)

So that these surveys provide value for money and are useful going forward, consideration will be given to information (and its format) that will be required at future stages so that surveys do not have to be repeated. The information requirements being produced by GPA will be included in the specifications.

The specifications will be produced by experienced discipline design engineers who understand the level of information that will be required during the design life-cycle.

The specifications will be utilised by Defra to obtain quotations for carrying out the survey work
