interim Accountancy Capacity (CCG Year End Accounts) - NW London

Provision of high quality Annual Accounts & robust support through the year-end process for North West London CCG reporting to the CFO. To provide & ensure: - capacity & leadership to the Financial Accounting Team - expert technical year-end support & advice to CCG finance staff - ensure delivery of CCG requirements for financial reporting & financial control to support the Annual Accounts. To work closely with CCG colleagues ensuring that reporting deadlines are achieved and that robust financial control is maintained - lead the relationships with external audit & provide input into the NW London Audit Committee. - Minimum of 75 days input over 10 month period (Sep'21 - Jun'22) - Plan & prepare for the year end audit - lead on the Interim Audit in Feb'22 - annual accounts & annual reports are submitted on time in Apr'22 - lead on the external audit in May'22 - collate & feedback any lessons learned - start preparing for the following years accounts in Jun'22.

Bidders must provide the following: • CV showing 5 years + experience of leading on the annual accounts and annual reports for NHS commissioning organisations • At least 2 References from past NHS employers • A briefing paper highlighting: o The proposed individual(s) to fulfil this requirement and why they are suitable to meet the needs of the CCG o The relevant experience that will be brought which would help with the year end accounts o An example of when they have delivered similar work under very tight time constraints, problems faced, and what the outcomes where, including any lessons learned. o Knowledge of any changes to accounting standards that might be relevant to our CCG in 21/22

A fixed price will be agreed for each stage of the project as follows:

Sept - March 2022 - Planning and Preparation including Interim Audit April 2022 - Delivery of Accounts and Annual Report to agreed deadlines May 2022 - Lead liaison with External Audit, management and monitoring of audit queries June 2022 - Debrief and lessons learned and preparation for 22/23
