Description

Working with Network Rail, Avanti and West Coast, Cumberland Council ("the Authority") is sought to appoint a contractor to develop designs, gain necessary consents and approvals and undertake the construction of a package of external improvement works as part of the redevelopment of Carlisle Station. Specifically, the work package encompasses: • Station Northern Gateway (Court Square public realm) • Court Square Brow/ Botchergate/ The Crescent junction improvements • Collier Lane Car Park access upgrade and internal modifications • Botchergate/ Crown Street/ Tait Street signal modifications • Water Street/ James Street junction improvements • Nelson Bridge/ Victoria Viaduct/ James Street junction improvements\r \r This is the award of the second stage of the contract for Water Street/ James Street junction improvements
