Description
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council currently operates a grounds maintenance machinery repair workshop which covers the majority of the repairs and servicing of the existing machinery assets. The purpose of this framework will be to supply various spare parts to the Council’s grounds maintenance machinery workshops based in the borough of Southend-on-Sea. The Council also has a Framework Agreement for grounds maintenance machinery servicing and repairs and the supply of machinery parts may also extend to supplement this Agreement. The length of the contract to supply machinery parts is 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years. It is envisaged that the Council will set up a Framework Agreement for each Lot, with up to seven Contractors. The indicative spend by the Council per Lot is as follows: Lot 1 Mower Parts (£100,000 per annum) Lot 2 Batteries (£2,000 per annum) Lot 3 Tyres and Tubes (£3,0000 per annum) Lot 4 Hydraulic Pipes & Connections (£5,000 per annum) However it should be noted that the Council cannot guarantee a minimum volume of orders or any orders or cannot guarantee a minimum level of business under this Framework Agreement.
