There are 15 'vanguard' sites nationally who will be developing and delivering the new service. Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB are the accountable body for the programme and grant recipient. There are 7 pilot sites across the area in Blackpool, Burnley, Blackburn, Lancaster, West Lancashire, Barrow and Preston and programme delivery will run from 1st October 24 - 31st March 26 (though grant funding can be claimed from July-Sept 24). WorkWell is a light touch, early-intervention service available to anyone aged 16 plus living in Blackpool (or registered with a Blackpool based GP) with a disability or health condition who:  needs support to remain in work,  needs support managing a condition in order to return to work from sickness absence that has lasted up to 6 months,  needs support to start work and has been unemployed due to a health related issue for up to 6 months The Health and Wellbeing Coach and the Wellbeing Coach will be outsourced from specialist provider organisations to support the integrity of the delivery and ensure the right level of skills and experience are within the team to meet participant needs (low intensity mental and physical health support) and to ensure the programme is successful in moving participants closer to or into paid employment.
