Description

Leeds City Council is keen to improve the management, use and publication of its data. Public 'open data' is currently published on Data Mill North however it is acknowledged that this has its limitations in that it can't manage real time data, provide visualisations and reports or facilitate the sharing of 'closed' (not public) data. Through this discovery work we would like to understand: 1. Are existing products available on the market that could be procured 'off the shelf', or do our requirements mean a bespoke solution would need to be designed and built? 2. Identify re-use opportunities with capabilities that are evolving within the region, specifically those being developed as part of the Yorkshire and Humber Care Record (YHCR) programme. 3. Identify suitable use cases that could be used to pilot the solution to prove its viability and scalability 4. Identify potential users of the solution and understand their requirements 5. Engage with the other local authorities to understand where there are synergies with a view to potentially working in partnership 6. Engage with other public, private, third and academic sector organisations to better understand how they might contribute to providing data to the city platform and what they would like to get out of it 7. Provide a report detailing the various options available to take forward, outlining how the platform could be scaled up and be sustainable and including costs and timescales.
