Description
A contract to supply Perfusion Oxygenators and bespoke tubing packs to the Bristol Heart Institute. The Bristol Heart Institute (BHI) opened in 2009, designed in partnership with patients, staff and the public and provides a dedicated service for people with heart conditions across Bristol and the South West. It is a research active unit, closely collaborating with local academic partners. Perfusion Oxygenators are an essential and intrinsic part of the patient care programme at the BHI. The Trust has extensive experience of using perfusion oxygenators and has a firm idea of its requirement in terms of both specification and usage. Due to the intention to contract over four (4) years (with an additional x2 twelve (12) months extension period) it was felt that the optimal route to market in terms of effectiveness and efficiency would be via a restricted OJEU process. The offer to the market consists of the supply of one thousand, six hundred and fifty (1,650) perfusion oxygenators and tubing packs per annum to the BHI. This figure is comprised of both Small Adult Perfusion Oxygenators & Adult Perfusion Oxygenators & Tubing Packs. To reflect the split requirement in terms of Small Adult and Adult variants the procurement will be split into two (2) lots. Bidders can apply for either or both lots.
