Provision of Intermediate Care Nursing Beds

Description

This notice relates to the award of a block contract for 142 extra care units in 3 schemes namely; Prothero House, Lorenco House and Roden Court (or 50, 52, & 40 units respectively). The contract is awarded under the Negotiation Procedure without prior publication in line with requirements as competition was absent for technical reasons (Regulation 32 (2) (b)(ii). The Council believes that the reasons for the use of this procedure have been met due to the paucity of registered extra care housing in borough, and that residents in extra provision have assured tenancies with the service Provider who also provides care and support .
