GB-Malden, Essex: Bradwell Underwater Noise Propagation Measurements

Cefas requires underwater sound propagation loss measurements be carried out off the coast of Bradwell-on-Sea, Maldon in Essex in order to validate an underwater propagation model. The successful Tenderer is required to carry out measurements at two to three source locations with transects running upstream/downstream and across the Blackwater Estuary. The source locations and transect directions are to be agreed with Cefas and should be chosen based on variations in bathymetry. Cefas will provide the successful Tenderer with a PDF map of the area showing the local bathymetry in order to aid this discussion. The measurements should be conducted during winter months i.e. between November 2019 and December 2019.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
