Work description
South Tyneside Council is required, under regulation 44, to arrange independent monthly monitoring visits to all the children's residential homes and short breaks homes maintained by the local authority. The purpose of the regulation 44 statutory visits is to ensure that all children placed within a residential home maintained by South Tyneside Council are being appropriately cared for and are having individual needs met. In particular, monthly assurance visits should ensure needs arising from a child's ethnicity, heritage, known disabilities or specific vulnerabilities are being met.
