Work description
Northamptonshire County Council invites tenders for the delivery of non-residential short breaks for children and young people with SEND in Northamptonshire. The Provider will be required to provide:
• Targeted non-residential short breaks for pan-disabilities; • Specialist non-residential short breaks for specific and single special educational needs or disabilities, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger's and sensory impairment; and • Non-residential short breaks for children with PMLD.
The Service will provide a range of non-residential short breaks that meets the needs of the children and young people with SEND and their families in the geographical area. This tender is advertised in 5 locality \"lots\" covering the county of Northamptonshire:
The maximum budget available for delivery of service in each area is:
• LOT 1 - Corby and Oundle; £63,000 per annum; • LOT 2 - Kettering and surrounding areas; £75,600 per annum; • LOT 3 - Wellingborough and Rushden; £63,000 per annum; • LOT 4 - Northampton (North, East and South); £142,800 per annum; • LOT 5 - Daventry and South; £75,600 per annum.
The contracts will be for 3 years, with an optional one year extension taking the total possible contract term to a maximum of 4 years. The contract will commence on 1st August 2018. The Authority believes that TUPE does apply to this contract at its commencement. The deadline for completed ITTs to be received on the LGSS eTendering Portal is 12:00noon on Monday 9th April 2018.
