Description
This Contract relates to the provision of a project to support young and vulnerable residents of Dudley to access opportunities for training, to develop skills and to gain a horticulture qualification through delivering a gardening service for vulnerable people in Dudley funded through Dudley MBC's Housing Department. The service will operate as a partnership between Dudley Housing Services and the successful provider. Dudley Housing Services will promote the service and refer council tenants who qualify to receive it. The successful provider will deliver the service by recruiting and deploying supervised trainees who will be young people or people with learning disabilities or poor mental health from the Dudley Borough who may have an identified vulnerability or need e.g. with learning disabilities or poor mental health or the young unemployed. The trainees may be employees, apprentices and/or volunteers, but must be able to provide a reliable service. They must also receive structured training and any necessary support with key skills in order to improve employability, and the successful provider will be required to demonstrate that the service can offer a pathway into employment and/or further training. Dudley Green Care Service also provides a gardening service to vulnerable council tenants and work in partnership with Housing and the successful provider in terms of allocating qualifying tenants to each of the two services, managing consistent standards between the teams, and providing specialist services that may not be appropriate for delivery by trainees. This contract has TUPE implications and therefore Appendix One ITT Acknowledgement & TUPE Confidentiality Undertaking will need to be completed and returned.
