Homeless Prevention Champion Service

A collaboration of Exeter, Teignbridge, East Devon and Mid Devon Local Authorities have been awarded one of the Department for Communities and Local Government's network of Homelessness Prevention Trailblazer areas, to go further and faster with reform and support more people to avoid a homelessness crisis in the first place. Leading on our successful bid for funding, we are looking for a provider to lead on an innovative new service to become a valued Homeless Prevention Champion.

You will: • Have a defined model for promoting the homeless prevention approach across the sectors to include voluntary sector partners, operational teams in the statutory sector and private sector groups such as landlord associations or letting agents. The service should be visible and accessible across the four areas. • To develop and promote the outcome based approach to funding through the Homeless Prevention Outcome Pot (£40,000 over the life of the project) and administer the funding accordingly. should be visible and accessible across the four areas. • To staff the Homeless Prevention Champion Service (£74,000 over the life of the project)

Expressions of interest are invited from any suitably qualified and experienced provider. Providers must have a previous experience of providing advice services. The bidder shall be required to complete appendices 1, 10, 11 and 12 which form the basis of the 'tender response' and return to the address provided in the 'Tender Guidance Notes'
