Work description
Leeds City Council would like to commission a piece of research and consultation with Leeds secondary age children (12-18 years old) and their parents to gain a better understanding of how to support these families with overweight children. We would like to explore these responses and insight to seek effective ways and help inform future weight management approaches for this age group and their families.
This project will help to understand the needs and perceptions of Leeds secondary age children (12-18 years old) around eating and physical activity habits, patterns and what influences these behaviours. To obtain views on body weight and body image of secondary age children and their levels of confidence and resilience. To obtain insight from secondary age children and parents about what approaches and support have helped them maintain a healthy weight and what support they would like to maintain this.
