THE PROVISION OF GILLINGHAM CO-CREATION

Description

Medway Council is seeking to facilitate and coordinate a co-creation process for Gillingham Town Centre, working closely with the community and key stakeholders. The outcome of this process will be the preparation of a vehicle for Citizen engagement, a vision for the town centre utilising co-creation with the citizenry and a preliminary town centre delivery plan for tools, processes, and investable projects. This will identify a clear preliminary vision for subsequent development, the tools required including those for adoption within the planning system, an outline programme of likely project deliverables / investible projects, in addition to establishing governance and delivery structures with co-production at their heart, to bring these principles and projects to life. The Council wishes to work in partnership, empowering and facilitating Gillingham's residents, businesses' and community groups to deliver the transformation of their town centre.
