Work description
Watford Borough Council is seeking expressions of interest for a qualified contractor to provide an annual firework display at Cassiobury Park for an initial period of two years or three years (totalling two or three firework bonfire night events), with an option to extend for a further period of up to two years. The displays are to be held on the Saturday closest to November 5th each year. The successful Contractor will be required to;
-Provide an experienced fireworks team that can demonstrate a high level of repeated success with other local councils. It shall deploy such staff as reasonably necessary for it to discharge its obligations under the tender. -Be responsible for dealing with all Planning and Health and Safety requirements, liaising with the relevant authorities where appropriate on behalf of Watford Borough Council within the annual cost. -To allow for meetings with interested parties and providing them with details of the project and the council's requirements. -Ensuring that displays are fired from the allocated firing zones and take into account the audience viewing areas (site plan enclosed for reference, a site visit is recommended) -Following the standard conditions for usage of Watford Borough Council owned parks, including reinstating any damage and clearing up the firing zone and surrounding area. The successful Contractor is required to ensure full compliance with any new fireworks industry regulations and codes of practice during the term of the contract
