North West Leicestershire District Council are inviting Tenders for the supply of Official Veterinary Services (Portal) to assess imports of animal origin at East Midlands Airport Border Control Post. This contract relates to the provision of services regarding Portal Official Veterinary Surgeons (OVS's) to undertake veterinary checks on products of animal origin, which may include fishery products on occasions, at a Border Control Post (BCP) to protect animal and public health. The BCP is located at East Midlands Airport. The initial contract period is 16 Months and will commence on 1st September 2021 and end on 31st August 2022. There is an option to extend the contract for a further 24 Months, at the sole discretion of the Customer. The maximum contract period is therefore 40 Months.
