SCFT Children Autism Diagnostic Assessment Service

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust (SCFT) required the Provision of Children Autism Diagnostic Assessment Service within the geographic area of East Sussex, Brighton & Hove and West Sussex.

This service will provide a timely, integrated, person centred diagnostic and assessment service for children under 11 years of age referred with potential autism provided by a specialist community based multidisciplinary team.

Service objectives • Follow set process for onward referrals. • Completion of assessment using approved report templates. • Ensure patient information is held and transmitted securely. • Incorporation of family and/or representatives views. • Ensure a multidisciplinary assessment and diagnosis process in place, in conjunction with the social care element of the team.

The contract was awarded to Psicon Ltd and is a cost per case contract with no guaranteed levels of activity or minimum income.
