Description
This is a Contract Award Notice to communicate a contract award made by the Contracting Authority; NHS Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board, (hereinafter referred to as "the Authority") in compliance with their local standing financial instructions (SFIs). The contract award is made to 1 Stop Healthcare Staffing Ltd for the provision 1:1 Support in Care Homes across Mid and South Essex. It was identified that 1:1 provision of care in nursing homes has an impact on both areas. Staff shortages in the care market, increase in activity due to winter pressures and providers finding it increasingly difficult to recruit staff, all impact on a nursing home being able to accept a patient requiring 1:1 support. Nursing Homes in Mid Essex have been invited to take part in the second phase of a pilot and to provide feedback on the proposed model of care. This will ensure that any concerns highlighted from the first phase and ahead of the second phase of the pilot launch can be identified and dealt with as required. The contract term is 12 months, commencing 01/03/2023 and expiring on 31/03/2024, at a total aggregate Contract Value of £500,000. The Authority is publishing this Contract Award Notice in the Contracts Finder in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended by The Public Procurement (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020) for spend above £30,000.
