Provision of the collection and disposal of Category 1 waste material ( not of aninmal origin) from the Imported Food Office on behalf of the London Borough of Hillingdon

Description

The London Borough of Hillingdon (LBH) is responsible for overseeing imported food and feed controls at its Imported Food Office (IFO) located at London Heathrow Airport (LHR). Legislation requires imports of certain food and feed products to be introduced into Great Britain only via approved inspection facilities. The IFO is an approved inspection facility for both imports of products of animal origin, and those not of animal origin. The London Borough of Hillingdon required a supplier that could collect and dispose of products of animal origin that did not meet the relevant import requirements. The contract is for an initial term of 3 years with the option of 2 x 1 year extensions
