Solo Residential Children's Homes

This Service is tor the provision of a total of five solo placement residential children's homes that will each provide 24/7 care and support for Suffolk Children in Care who have experienced frequent placement breakdowns or whose needs present challenges to being placed in multi placement or family type settings. Each residential home will care for Children in Care (CiC) aged up to and including 17 years old, must be able to place referrals within short timescales, deliver care via a trauma informed framework and provide care to a staff ration of 2:1 or 3:1.

The Service is spit into Lots 1a, Lot 1b and Lot 1c and Lot 2a and Lot 2b, defined through the supply origin and tenure of the accommodation used for the provision of the solo Residential Homes. Services to CiC placed in the residential homes of both Lots will be provided by the Service in accordance with the Specification.

This Light Touch Regime tender is an open tender with negotiation.

Procurement Policy Note 09/21 requires us to calculate the value of contracts inclusive of VAT, however we can advertise them exclusive of VAT. The advertised value here is £16.5m for the total of all five lots exclusive of VAT.

The deadline date for submissions of the tender is 12 noon on Tuesday 11th April 2023. Please note late returns will NOT be permitted. The deadline for clarification questions is Friday 24th March which must be generated via the correspondence option on the website.
