Brief Scope
Expressions of Interest are invited for the provision and submission of asbestos management surveys for Service Family Accommodation (SFA) in UK region: North (including Scotland and Northern Ireland)
The Surveying Contractor is to conduct Management Surveys as per Health & Safety Executive Asbestos: The Survey Guide (HSG264, 2012) and their own documented processes that have met UKAS Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17020: 2012
These works will be carried out mainly in occupied properties however some properties will be empty (void).
There will also be requirements for Re-inspection, Re-inspection including sampling and Air Testing (reassurance). Data is to be collected and submitted in an Amey-approved format.
As works will involve arranging access, the Survey Contractor will be given residents' contact details and this information is to be handled with appropriate confidentiality and security.
Surveyors will be required to hold or obtain BPSS security clearance as a minimum.
Amey are looking to award a main specialist although more than one specialist may be required due to the numbers of properties or programme requirements.
Amey have been tasked by the DIO through the FDIS to deliver the Regional Accommodation Maintenance Service for the Central and North Regions.
This notice is a call for competition and there may not be a further notice related to this opportunity.
If successful the subcontractor will need to pass a PQQ, sign up to Amey Terms and Conditions, and meet the MoD Security Requirements.

Note 1: Future works of a similar nature may be negotiated based upon submitted rates.
