E-Scooters

As part of the green recovery process the Government are looking to allow trials of E-Scooters schemes. A proposal that meets all their requirements needs to be submitted to the Department for Transport who will approve the scheme. A soft market test exercise has been undertaken and a number of operators expressed an interest in taking part in a trail in Liverpool at no cost to the Council. This concession is offered on the basis that the market is willing to engage on such a basis. The concession will be offered under the restrictions of the Concession Contract Regulations 2016. To comply with government and DfT requirements and direction, contracts must be in place and in operation by the end of August 2020.\\r\r
