Work description

DHSC currently has a contract for software to enable emergency messages to be sent via phone call, SMS and email. This has been in use for several years within the department and supports mitigation of security and business continuity risks for DHSC.

The objectives of the BCMS software would be to: • Support incident response processes and reduce administration costs for these areas • Collation and reporting of incident management data and responses to improve reporting and reduce resources required for this • Reduce resources required to produce Business Continuity Plans and conduct Business Impact Analyses, as well as the updating these documents • Reduce resources required for the planning and delivering of Exercises • Integration with existing DHSC business communications software (MS Teams) and data sets (D365) to reduce resource required to maintain separate data sets • Ease of use to reduce training and development costs • Identify associated risks linked to key systems and processes across business areas (Bowtie methodology)
