Description
Construction and installation of a new external staircase to an existing doorway in the West Tower, a ruined roofless medieval tower dating back to the 12th century. Also construction and installation of a new visitor viewing platform at first floor level in the tower. This will provide public access to the tower to view the rich architectural details of the bishop's private accommodation for the first time and also facilitate better access for maintenance ensuring the sustainable management of the tower in the long-term. The construction will be zinc coated steel with ekki timber treads and boards.
