Work description
LondonWaste Ltd owns and operates the EcoPark Energy Centre located in Edmonton, London. The Energy Centre is an Energy-from-Waste facility comprising five boilers burning approximately 500,000 tonnes of municipal residual waste per year, in a continuous 24-hour operation, 7 days per week.
Exhaust steam from the Energy Centre’s four turbines is condensed by cooling water passing through the condenser’s tubes before returning to the Five Cell Head Wrightson cooling towers and subsequent recirculation. This contract is for the refurbishment of Cells 1 and 2 of the Cooling Towers.
