Academic Workload Planning systems support - Expressions of Interest invited

Departmental academic workload planning at Lancaster has to date been supported by a variety of locally constructed excel-based models. A recent internal audit report has recommended exploring a more structured approach including the option of centralised software to support the process in a way that is also compliant with the requirements of the annual TRAC (Transparent Approach to Costing) submission to the Office for Students.

The primary objective of this tender is to find a supplier to consider the availability and appropriateness of a software system to support academic workload planning for each academic department using consistent underlying principles but allowing for flexibility for necessary variation. Implementation support and guidance would also be required to ensure maximum benefit could be obtained by departments whilst ensuring compliance with the University's workload principles and compliance with TRAC requirements.
