Phase 1 - Business Plan and Market Assessment for Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone

Now that Blackpool Council has reacquired Blackpool Airport to secure its long term future as part of the Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone, there is an urgent need to establish and agree a strategy and business plan for its future operation and development, both in terms of giving clarity in respect of the strategic options available, the priorities for investment to maximise its future potential in line with a realistic assessment of market demand, and to enable the Council to be able to prioritise short and medium terms actions in respect of potential acquisitions, infrastructure and equipment investment and responding to/accommodating the interests for new activity and investment in the airport.
