Work description

Since the construction of the Port of Ramsgate, the sluices are obsolete and are no longer maintained in functional condition. Previous works to plug the eastern sluices are showing signs of degradation allowing leakage from the inner basin to the outer harbour. The eastern sluices are to be dammed, but not completely blocked. The solution envisaged is a plate or wall, with a weir or letterbox set at 3.6m chart datum. An engineer grout plug is not generally desired. The solution is to last 50 years without maintenance. The form of works is NEC4 Short contract.

The Contract is anticipated to commence upon 25th October 2021 for a duration of 12 Weeks.
