Description
Blackpool Coastal Housing (BCH) is Blackpool Council's agent for the management of the planned maintenance programmes on the social housing stock. This includes building works necessary to keep the stock in good condition and structurally sound. Work typically comprises larger scale refurbishment programmes including re-pointing, rendering, windows and doors replacements, fencing, replacement rainwater goods, fascias and soffits and asbestos removal. Roofing is not included in this tender. There are approximately 4,900 properties within the social housing stock comprising 2,500 flats & and 2,400 houses. Houses are located across Blackpool and flats are, in the main, grouped together in sites. The work is divided into three lots as follows. Contractors may tender with the aim of being appointed to 1 or more lots. Lot 1 - General Building Works Lot 2 - Replacement of Windows & Doors. In addition to planned refurbishment works the successful contractor/s will also be required to undertake responsive window and door repair and replacement works including pre-measuring glass sizes, glazing single glazed and DGU's.
