## Description

Highways England Environment Group provides specialist technical guidance and operational support to the company's Major Projects and Operational Directorates ensuring that we have appropriate governance procedures, and assessment techniques to manage our environmental risks\. In support of this we commission research and development to ensure our understanding of the environmental effects associated with the Strategic Road Network \(SRN\) is up to date, and that the assessment and design guidance standards which we publish and maintain in the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges \(DMRB\) are robust\.
