## Description

The main aims of this contract is to appoint a service provider for legal advice and support for the development and delivery of the BEIS ICF portfolio of programmes\. The specific requirements will be driven by the needs of individual programmes\. But we anticipate the support to be on matters of foreign, corporate and commercial law where internally BEIS either does not have the required specialist legal expertise or does not have sufficient capacity\. Many of the projects that BEIS invests in require BEIS to enter into contracts governed by foreign legal jurisdictions \(e\.g\. German and Dutch law\) or contribute to more complex commercial or financial investment vehicles, or a combination of both, which are both areas where BEIS does not have sufficient expertise\.
