Description
Coventry University has been successful in securing grant funding under round 3c of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme. The project involves connecting the plant rooms at Charles Ward, Alma, The Cycle Works, The Hub, ECB, Student Centre, and Elm Bank to the existing low carbon Coventry district energy network which uses heat from the waste incinerator on London Road. Alongside this we've also secured funding to install around half a megawatt of new solar panels on Alma, The Cycle Works, The Hub, Elm Bank and ECB, and to replace the current single glazing at Elm Bank with highly efficient vacuum glazing, window frames.
