Description

Software support for the DART (eLab) electronic laboratory reporting system utilised by former PHE UKHSA laboratories for electronic reporting of reference and specialist microbiology results, including Pillar 1 Covid PCR and Sequencing results. Application is provided and supported by Ideagen PLC as a customised module to meet the former PHE UKHSA laboratories reporting requirements securely back to requesting NHS and local government requestors (customers). DART provides essential infrastructure for the delivery of the former PHE UKHSA laboratories reference and specialist microbiology service. This system enables the delivery of results electronically. This allows patient results to be delivered directly to the referring hospital Trust's Laboratory Information System, reducing transcription errors and postal delays. This provides a more timely safe delivery of results, resulting in more timely patient treatment and management
