## Description

Somerset County Council, as accountable body for the Heart of the South West and West of England Local Enterprise Partnership, will hold a supplier engagement event prior to commencing any procurement exercise\. Supplier Event Announcement • Date - 5th September 2016 • Location - Weston-super-Mare • The supplier event will inform organisations of the scope of the project and proposed procurement process\. • To register your interest in attending this event please give your expression of interest \(EOI\) through the contract listing available through https//:www\.supplyingthesouthwest\.org\.uk SCC intends publishing an Contract Notice to commence the procurement exercise during 2016: • Purpose - To deliver an SME business support programme to enable SME’s within the 2 LEP regions to access opportunities to be part of the HPC Supply Chain\. • Duration - up to 3 years \(36 months\)\. There may be extension options dependant on funding sources and contract performance\. • Value - the indicative value of the contract is given as £2,000,000\. Note - at the time of publishing this notice the funding contribution from the 2 LEPs is in the region of £1,000,000\. Further funding contributions may be realised from other participating authorities\.
