Description
***** THIS IS AN AWARD NOTICE, NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION ***** This procurement is being concluded following a mini competition under the CCS Management Consultancy Framework Three - RM6187, Lot 8 Brief Description of Requirement. The decisions in the recent Smart and Secure Electricity Systems consultation response1 will help ensure consumers can use a wider range of services and devices in homes and small businesses2 to manage their electricity consumption and reduce bills. For example, heat appliances like heat pumps and heat batteries will have smart functionality. This will mean that a heat pump can be used, or heat battery charged, automatically during times when electricity is cheapest. Homes with an electric vehicle charge point installed will have a greater choice of regulated third parties that can offer them lower bills, or other incentives, for charging their vehicle at certain times of the day.
