## Description

The minor highway framework is to support Highways Maintenance Service with minor Civil Engineering projects The purpose of this procurement exercise is to appoint a number of contractors under a Framework Agreement for Civil Engineering Construction Support Works across Manchester, the principle contractor for the Works will be Highways Maintenance Service \(Manchester City's own in-house Highways maintenance and construction service\) and we will utilise this framework to supplement our own resources, as and when required, subject to the needs of our varied pipeline of works\. Additional information: The Council is using the portal known as The Chest \(www\.the-chest\.org\.uk\) where tenderers will need to register their details\. Once registered, tenderers will be emailed along-in and password which will allow applicants to gain access to the tender documents\. Tenderers will need to electronically submit the completed tender documentation by Wednesday 07 Oct 2020 11:00 a\.m\. Any clarification queries will also need to be submitted via The Chest website\. The successful tenderer\(s\) will be required to actively participate in the economic and social regeneration of the locality of the delivery of the contract\. Selection and award criteria, specification requirements and contract performance conditions may relate to social and environmental considerations\.
