Work description

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) needs to ensure the salaries of its Senior Civil Servants (SCS) are commensurate, as far as possible within public sector pay restraints, with other regulators and agencies (both in the UK and overseas) and with private sector comparators.

The CMA was established on 1 April 2014. SCS salaries have not been benchmarked since before the creation of the organisation. This financial year, in light of the growth of the CMA as a result of EU exit, the CMA Remuneration Committee will formally review SCS salaries to ensure they are both competitive to attract and retain colleagues.

The CMA wishes to engage a specialist reward consultancy to conduct salary benchmarking for a range of SCS roles across a range of comparable employers.
