DUD - Tender for the Design and Provision of Major Adaptations together with all associated works to Privately Owned, Privately Rented and Housing Association Rented Homes within the Borough of Dudley - AWARD

Dudley MBC is looking for up to two contractors to undertake the design, pre-commencement and construction of major adaptations within the Dudley Borough and potentially for use by other contracting authorities. The type of works to be procured are the provision of major adaptations that may include but would not be limited to bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and WC extensions and conversions including all associated level access showers, internal reconfiguration and door widening and ramping installations. Design: - The service required will include a full design service from feasibility to working drawings to enable the scheme to receive all of the necessary statutory approvals that will include but not be limited to planning permission, building regulations approval, building over approvals and party wall permissions. Approval from the council's delegated Occupational Therapist and the resident shall also be required. Pre-Commencement: - The Contractor shall also be liable for all pre-commencement works that may include the provision of a full refurbishment and demolition asbestos survey together with any testing and removal of asbestos required. Construction: - The contractor shall be responsible for the construction of all adaptations and ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations all to the satisfaction of both the council and the client. Full compliance with the CDM Regulations 2015 across the process shall also be a requirement
